Steelfang Slash. With the number of knockdowns available to a Warrior, this is a great skill for damage AND adrenaline gain. Works well with Dragonslash and SY builds.

Glowing Gaze <-- Infinite energy source for the fire nuker.
I'm so so surprised when I don't see this on fire ele bars. Do they just not know about it? It doesn't look sexy like Searing Flames or Rodgorts? I don't know, but when I'm running a fire build, I don't leave home without it and I never ever run out of energy.

No, seriously.
Do I EVER see Warrior PuGs using it?
It's amazing. And so few use it.

Yet another thing in this thread i agree on, i have to second you on that.
Glowing Gaze is extremely useful! On my ele i always include this in fire builds. (also skills of the same kind of use in other elements - Shock arrow, glowstone, glowing ice)

Another underrated skill is Aura of Holy Might.
You might think I'm crazy. But no Pugs who use scythe seem to carry that skill.
I ask em if they have factions. They say yes.
And that just makes it a whole lot more underrated.

Sun and Moon Slash, which among other uses gets around annoying mob block stances, wards, aegis. Also rapidly triggers two hits of any buffs you have on (Strength of Honor, Splinter Weapon or Nightmare Weapon, etc.), two hits of Barbs, and of course it's 4 hits of adrenaline while under FGJ.
Against mobs that like to block, start with the usual dragon slash, then as soon as they flash their block stance (at probably 60%-70% health), S&M slash to get them below 50% health, at which point you can use Finish Him, or even Brawling Headbutt just for the unblockable damage. Makes those ranger mobs much less a hassle to deal with.
Yes there are many other ways to deal with blocking, every way has its downsides though.

Yet another opinion from me.
Epidemic
I havn't actually seen many people use this.. in PuGs and PvP, it is extremely useful in spreading those conditions everywhere! Especially on poison/bleed/burn rangers.

Charge. Seriously. This apparently used to be teh GvG Warriorz Elite but now I get noobcalls from german and french AB shitters for using it. It turns my Frenzy into prenerf PRage, helps my squishies kite whatever's trying to hit them, can't be removed, etc., etc... speeds up PvE nicely, too.

I used to use Anthem of Weariness in AB after Anthem of Flame got reduced to party members only. You could keep up Aggressive Refrain and the anthem got applied to the other team members if you happened to be around them. Better for e-management too if you didn't have too many in earshot at the time.

Thirding this, really. I haven't seen PUG eles in quite a while - are they seriously neglecting Glowing Gaze?

This reminds me.
I never see any mention of Shock Arrow - It's very reliable requiring a condition that is nearly always met on the enemy and is effective with a bit of timing.
Seriously, it can work with any elemental line if the damage isn't important (which it shouldn't be, as it's so trivial anyway).

When playing with my elementalist, I never leave an outpost without Glowing Gaze. It's my main energy source, lol.
Another underrated skill is Shield of Regeneration. Seriously, I have found this skill to be extremely worth wild in the worst situations as a monk. People should use it more, but they don't since noobs can't manage their energy with a fifteen energy skill. Q___Q

I've been putting shock arrow on my Fire ele heroes alongside glowing gaze ever since they changed it to be based on energy storage. The e-management is great and they no longer have to bring mesmer skills to keep their energy up enough to spam searing flames.
I'll add another skill even though it might have been mentioned already.
Teinai's Wind / Whirlwind (duplicates).
5e, .75s cast, 8s recharge, an adjacent range PBAoE (about twice the range as adjacent to target spells) that does a little cold damage and knocks down every attacking foe hit.
I don't see how shock gets so much love when this doesn't. Unlike shock, it is very spammable because it does not cause exhaustion. You can knockdown foes that are attacking anyone, not just you. It makes a great defensive skill for any class in PvP and it's not that hard to time it to interrupt attack skills against slow attackers like rangers, dervishes, or hammer warriors.

Because monks aren't attacking you to fulfill condition, therefore, shock.
And underrated skill, Life sheath, this coupled with Selfless spirit and RoF are awesome prots/heals

I didn't mean I thought people should take it instead of shock, I'm just saying it is similar. It certainly has a different role.

I like Life Sheath for bar compression, so instead of elite heal + RoF + condition removal. You can just do life sheath + heal. Losing zealous benediction or word of healing for something like patient spirit or gift of health hurts, but life sheath is stronger than RoF and is amazing condition removal, and gaining another skill slot on a monk is very useful.

tbh, if you need any more energy management than Attune and GoLE, you're a bad Elementalist.
That being said, if you ARE a bad ele, bring Mind Blast. It'll make you into a GOOD ele.

ER is underrated and underutilized? Have you never heard of ER Protters, ER Healers, or ER Smiters? Eles (even ele heroes) can heal/prot better than monks now.

I've always liked Protector's Defense, always seems to come in handy when fooling around in Cantha or Eye of the North.
